Garey High School is committed to providing all students an opportunity for a strong education encompassing academics, vocational training, and co-curricular activities. Every student will acquire skills, attitudes, behaviors, appreciation of our cultures, and the knowledge that will produce a well-rounded, useful, intelligent citizen who can participate in our democratic society.

Garey High School is a community of learning. Those who view it as a community of learning find their lives involved with others in ways that make a difference. By its presence, Garey makes a difference in the lives of students who come from diverse backgrounds with diverse gifts and expectations. This diversity in language and culture is strength, offering students and staff alike-enriched human experiences and opportunities to practice the attitudes and behaviors needed for participation in a democratic society.

Garey High School is committed to the individual student. Every student should have the opportunity to acquire a balanced education encompassing academics, vocational training, physical education, and fine arts. Every student should have the opportunity to formulate personal goals and to work toward acquiring the skills and knowledge necessary for productive and fulfilling careers. Every student should experience Garey High School as a community of learning where students and staff respect each other, nurture each other, and make a difference to each other.

Garey High School is committed to learning. Learning is a dynamic enterprise in which all must select from the accumulated knowledge of the past and confront the daily challenge of new information. To live with the anxieties of old and new knowledge and information requires lifelong learning. Garey High School is committed to providing the resources for lifelong learning and thus promoting the health and well being of the larger community of Pomona, the country, and the world.
