A Brief History of GHS Band & Orchestra:

The Band and Orchestra at Garey High School have had a long history of being an award winning organization for nearly twenty years. Beginning with the inspiration of Jerry Weakley in 1986, the band has carried on a winning tradition of inspiring accomplishments. After Jerry Weakley's tenure at Garey, William Arceniega carried on the tradition of making the Viking Band succeed at all venues of performance. Anthony Bonner took over the band and orchestra, and has continued to take the organization into new and wonderful avenues in their musical realm. He is currently assisting the new Band and Orchestra Director, Mr. Robert Lawe. Mr. Lawe is will take our viking music program to new heights with help of Anthony Bonner.
